Description

A quick and hearty one-pot meal featuring sausage, aromatic vegetables, and seasoned rice, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 1 lb sausage (andouille or your choice)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are soft.
  3. Stir in the rice and cook for 1-2 minutes, allowing it to absorb the flavors.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and add Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until the rice is cooked.
  6. Fluff with a fork, garnish with green onions, and serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to customize your vegetables or use different types of sausage to fit your preferences.
