Description

A delectable dish combining crispy chicken with a cheesy topping, perfect for family dinners or impressing guests.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. In one bowl, mix the bread crumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, and the seasonings.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.
  4. Place the flour in a third dish.
  5. Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, dip it in the egg mixture, and coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
  8. Mix the remaining Parmesan with mozzarella cheese and minced garlic, then spread over the chicken.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.

Notes

Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for consistent cooking. Customize the breading with your preferred herbs or spices. Broil for a couple of minutes at the end of baking for an extra crispy coating.
