- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In one bowl, mix the bread crumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, and the seasonings.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.
- Place the flour in a third dish.
- Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, dip it in the egg mixture, and coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
- Mix the remaining Parmesan with mozzarella cheese and minced garlic, then spread over the chicken.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
Notes
Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for consistent cooking. Customize the breading with your preferred herbs or spices. Broil for a couple of minutes at the end of baking for an extra crispy coating.
