- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 medium ripe bananas (mashed)
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together softened butter, peanut butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract until combined.
- Mix flour, oats, baking soda, and salt in another bowl; gradually add to the wet mixture without overmixing.
- Fold in mashed bananas and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each scoop.
- Bake for about 12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Chill the dough for firmer cookies and use ripe but not overly mushy bananas for the best results.
