- 2 sticks butter (room temperature)
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup packed light or dark brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (or a mix of chocolate and peanut butter chips)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare two ungreased baking sheets.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla, ensuring everything is well incorporated.
- Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until a dough forms. Add in the chocolate chips.
- Using a tablespoon, form dough balls and place them on the baking sheets. You should get about 36 cookies.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, one sheet at a time for even cooking. If baking two sheets, switch them halfway through.
- Let the cookies cool on a wire rack after baking.
