Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bars
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or unsalted butter (optional)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups pecan halves or large pieces, lightly toasted

  1. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Toast the pecans in a 350°F (175°C) oven for about 5-7 minutes until fragrant. Let cool.
  3. Melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil or butter in a microwave. Spread melted chocolate onto one baking sheet and chill until set.
