- 1 cup dark brown sugar (packed)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 8.5 oz can crushed pineapple (in juice)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
Instructions
- Grab a medium saucepan and add the crushed pineapple with juice.
- Stir in the brown sugar, mustard, cornstarch, lemon juice, and salt.
- Whisk over medium heat until the mixture thickens and the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Brush the glaze onto the ham about 30 minutes before it finishes baking.
- Return the ham to the oven to caramelize the glaze.
Notes
For thicker glaze, cook longer on medium heat. Use fresh pineapple for enhanced flavor.
