Description

A sweet and tangy glaze that elevates ham to festive heights, perfect for holiday feasts or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 8.5 oz can crushed pineapple (in juice)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard

Instructions

  1. Grab a medium saucepan and add the crushed pineapple with juice.
  2. Stir in the brown sugar, mustard, cornstarch, lemon juice, and salt.
  3. Whisk over medium heat until the mixture thickens and the sugar dissolves.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Brush the glaze onto the ham about 30 minutes before it finishes baking.
  6. Return the ham to the oven to caramelize the glaze.

Notes

For thicker glaze, cook longer on medium heat. Use fresh pineapple for enhanced flavor.
