Description

A delicious twist combining two beloved comfort foods, Pizza Grilled Cheese offers cheesy goodness and savory pizza flavors in a simple and fun recipe.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 slices of cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 cup sliced bell peppers (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sliced olives (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of two slices of bread.
  3. Place the buttered slices down in the skillet, layer cheese, pizza sauce, pepperoni, and other toppings.
  4. Butter the other two slices of bread and place them on top with the butter-side facing up.
  5. Cook until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese begins to melt, then flip and cook until the second side is golden brown and the cheese completely melts.
  6. Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Use sturdy bread for best results. Grate cheese for optimal meltiness. Experiment with toppings and don’t skimp on butter for flavor.
