Description

Delicious and simple appetizer of prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella bites, perfect for parties or as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 package prosciutto
  • 1 package mozzarella balls (about 12 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. Open the package of prosciutto and gently separate the slices, laying them flat.
  3. Take the mozzarella balls out of their packaging and drain any excess liquid.
  4. If the mozzarella balls are large, cut them in half for easier wrapping.
  5. Place one mozzarella ball in the center of each prosciutto slice and wrap it around the cheese.
  6. Heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat and add dried oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  7. Stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant, then remove from heat.
  8. Brush the olive oil mixture over each prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella bite.
  9. Arrange the bites on the baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until crispy and golden.
  10. Allow to cool for a few minutes and sprinkle with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Serve warm and pair with balsamic glaze or fresh tomato sauce.
