Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cardamom, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix pumpkin puree, heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Turn the dough onto a floured surface, shape it into a circle about 1-inch thick, and cut into wedges.
  7. Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden.
