- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 large egg

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cardamom, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In a separate bowl, mix pumpkin puree, heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface, shape it into a circle about 1-inch thick, and cut into wedges.
- Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the dough. Ensure the butter is cold for flaky scones.
