Description

A delightful, no-bake sweet snack combining Chex cereal and candy melts, perfect for celebrating love and friendship.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups Chex cereal (divided)
  • 3/4 cup strawberry cake mix
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup red candy melts (heaping)
  • 3/4 cup white candy melts (heaping)
  • 1 cup Valentine M&Ms
  • 2 tablespoons Valentine sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Separate the Chex cereal into two large bowls, placing three cups in each.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix and powdered sugar.
  3. Melt the red candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl at 50% power, stirring every minute until smooth.
  4. Pour the melted red candy over one bowl of Chex cereal and stir gently to coat.
  5. Transfer the coated cereal to a ziplock bag, add 3/4 cup cake mix, seal, and shake until well-coated.
  6. Spread the mixture onto parchment paper to cool.
  7. Repeat melting process with the white candy melts until smooth.
  8. Coat the remaining Chex cereal with the melted white candy and repeat the shaking process with cake mix.
  9. Combine the red and white Chex mixes, Valentine M&Ms, and sprinkles in a large bowl and mix gently.
  10. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to two days.
