Description

Delightful Red Velvet Truffles combining the essence of red velvet cake with creamy white chocolate, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup water (as per cake mix instructions)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (as per cake mix instructions)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • Sprinkles (for decoration, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the red velvet cake mix according to the package instructions, using water and vegetable oil. Once baked, let the cake cool completely.
  2. Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large bowl and mix in the softened cream cheese until well combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about one inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Freeze the cake balls for about 30 minutes to help firm them up.
  5. While the balls are freezing, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler until smooth.
  6. Dip each cake ball into the melted white chocolate, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off before placing them back on the parchment paper.
  7. If desired, sprinkle the tops with sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
  8. Refrigerate the truffles until the chocolate has fully set, then serve and enjoy!
