Description

A delightful and moist banana bread packed with ripe bananas, walnuts, and a secret ingredient for extra richness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 medium bananas, sliced

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Stir sugar and melted butter together in a large bowl. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into butter mixture until smooth.
  4. Fold in banana slices, sour cream, and walnuts; transfer into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean, about 60 minutes.
  6. Cool the loaf in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For optimal flavor, use overripe bananas and do not overmix the batter. Adjust baking time based on your oven.
