- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 small cabbage, shredded
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, with juice
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until browned, about 7 minutes. Drain any fat.
- Add the shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes (with juice), cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- Simmer the mixture for 5 minutes to let the flavors blend.
- Transfer the mixture to the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30–35 minutes, until the cabbage is tender.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes, then serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a dollop of sour cream or fresh herbs on top. This dish can also be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for 2 months.
