Description

A delightful dessert that combines creamy cream cheese with juicy blueberries, topped with a crumbly oat mixture, perfect for breakfast or as an afternoon treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add in the egg and vanilla, mixing well.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Gradually add this flour mixture to the cream cheese mixture, folding in the blueberries gently.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar, rolled oats, and butter. Mix together until crumbly, then sprinkle over the cake batter.
  6. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely in the pan before transferring to a serving plate.

For best results, use fresh blueberries and ensure ingredients are at room temperature. Store in an airtight container for 3-4 days at room temperature.
