- 4 cups Beef Broth (low-sodium)

- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
- 1/4 cup Cold Water
- 6 slices Bread (white or Texas toast)
- 4 cups Mashed Potatoes
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by slicing the onion.
- Place the beef roast in the slow cooker and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, black pepper, and salt.
- Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce, then add the sliced onions on top.
- Cover and set the slow cooker to low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Once cooked, remove the beef and shred it using two forks.
- Thicken the sauce by mixing cornstarch and cold water into a slurry and cooking it in the slow cooker for an additional 20 minutes on high.
- Serve the shredded beef on bread or atop mashed potatoes, drizzling with sauce.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, let your cornstarch slurry cook longer. This recipe is great for leftovers!
