Description

Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen puff pastry sheets
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: additional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface and cut into heart shapes.
  3. Combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl; mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Place a dollop of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart-shaped pastry.
  5. Top each dollop with a few slices of fresh strawberries.
  6. Fold the edges of the pastry heart toward the center, pinching to seal.
  7. Brush the tops with a beaten egg to achieve a golden finish.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  9. Dust with additional powdered sugar and serve.
