Description

Delicious Thai Basil Beef Rolls packed with savory ground beef, vibrant vegetables, and fresh herbs, all wrapped in light rice paper for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Rice paper wrappers

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Add the soy sauce and hoisin sauce, mixing well. Continue cooking until the beef is fully browned.
  2. Add the shredded carrots and chopped bell peppers to the skillet. Stir them into the beef mixture, allowing the vegetables to cook until they are tender, about 3–5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, prepare the rice paper wrappers. Fill a shallow dish with warm water, and dip one rice paper wrapper in until it softens, taking care not to soak it too long.
  4. Once softened, lay the wrapper on a clean plate. Spoon some of the beef mixture into the center and top it with fresh basil leaves.
  5. Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling, then roll it tightly from the bottom to the top, creating a neat package. Repeat this process with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Serve the rolls immediately with your choice of dipping sauce, or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Use cold water to maintain the elasticity of rice paper wrappers. Serve fresh for the best taste.
