Description

Delightful Thai Basil Beef Rolls showcasing the freshness of Thai basil with seasoned ground beef, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • Rice paper wraps
  • Lettuce leaves (optional, for wrapping)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Add minced garlic, soy sauce, and oyster sauce, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in fresh Thai basil leaves.
  4. Prepare a bowl of warm water and dip each rice paper wrap for 10-20 seconds until soft.
  5. Lay the softened rice paper flat and place a few tablespoons of beef mixture in the center. Optionally, add lettuce leaves.
  6. Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling and roll tightly from the bottom to the top.
  7. Repeat with remaining wraps and beef mixture.
  8. Serve immediately with a dipping sauce if desired.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Do not overcook the beef to retain juiciness. Big variations can include swapping proteins or adding veggies for crunch.
