  • 2/3 cup Flour
  • 3/4 cup Oats
  • 2/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup Butter (Cold, cut into cubes)
  • 3 large Honey Crisp Apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup Cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Corn Starch
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the filling by peeling and chopping the honey crisp apples. In a mixing bowl, combine the apples with the cranberries, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, corn starch, and nutmeg.
  3. Pour the filling into a 9-inch pie plate or an 8×8-inch square pan.
  4. Create the topping by combining flour, oats, remaining brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter and vanilla extract, mixing until the mixture is crumbly.
  5. Pour the topping over the cranberry-apple mixture.
  6. Bake for 55 minutes. To prevent overflow, place the dish on a baking sheet.
  7. Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
