Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup peppermint chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and peppermint extracts.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in the peppermint chips and white chocolate chips.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For a stronger peppermint flavor, increase the peppermint extract. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or freeze for longer storage.
