Description

A delightful snack combining creamy yogurt with roasted bread, perfect for breakfast or an evening snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup curd
  • ½ onion (chopped)
  • 1 tsp green chilli (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp coriander (chopped)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • 4 bread slices (brown)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 8 curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Prepare hung curd by placing a muslin cloth over a sieve, adding 1 cup curd, and weighing it down to drain excess water for a few hours.
  2. Transfer hung curd to a bowl and mix in chopped onion, green chilli, coriander, salt, and oregano.
  3. Take 4 brown bread slices, spread the mixture on one slice, and cover with another slice.
  4. Heat a tawa, add oil, mustard seeds, and curry leaves.
  5. Place the sandwich on the tawa, roast until golden brown, then flip and roast the other side.
  6. Remove from tawa, cut in half, and serve hot with green chutney and tomato ketchup.

Notes

Add more green chillies for additional spice. Use homemade yogurt for better flavor. Customize with toppings like cheese or chopped vegetables.
