Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts (2 lbs, fat trimmed)
Barbecue Sauce (1½ cups, e.g. Sweet Baby Ray’s)
Italian Dressing (½ cup, fat-free preferred)
No-Alcohol Worcestershire Sauce (2 tbsp)
Light Brown Sugar (¼ cup, reduce to 1/8 cup if desired)
Garlic Powder (1 tbsp, or 1 tsp granulated garlic)
Onion Powder (1 tbsp, or ½ onion, diced)
Instructions
Prepare Slow Cooker: Spray a 6-quart crockpot with non-stick spray or use liners
Season Chicken: Rub chicken breasts with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Trim excess fat

Shred or Serve Whole: Use a fork to shred for sandwiches or serve as-is
Notes
Substitute chicken thighs for added moisture
Reduce sugar to 1/8 cup for a tangy profile
Pre-portion sauce before cooking
Let rest 10 minutes for optimal shredding
Vegetarian option: Replace chicken with portobello mushrooms or eggplant
