- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup diced pickles
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and let cool.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper, then drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooled macaroni, cooked ground beef, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced pickles, diced onion, and shredded cheddar cheese.
- In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard.
- Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and toss until well combined.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best flavor, prepare the salad a day in advance to allow the ingredients to meld together. Serve with garlic bread or alongside grilled meats for a complete meal.
