Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and let cool.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper, then drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooled macaroni, cooked ground beef, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced pickles, diced onion, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard.
  5. Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and toss until well combined.

Notes

For best flavor, prepare the salad a day in advance to allow the ingredients to meld together. Serve with garlic bread or alongside grilled meats for a complete meal.
