Description
A golden flaky croissant filled with Caesar-seasoned chicken, romaine, and tangy Parmesan, offering a quick fusion of French and Californian flavors for breakfast or lunch.
Ingredients
2 large croissants (12g each)
1 cup shredded chicken (100g)
1/2 cup Caesar dressing (100g)
1/4 cup Parmesan (15g)
1 cup chopped romaine (40g)
8 cherry tomatoes (80g)
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
Combine shredded chicken with Caesar dressing in a bowl. Distribute evenly with tongs.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken mixture; cook 3-5 minutes while stirring. Verify 165°F internal temperature.
Halve croissants horizontally. Brush butter on cut sides. Toast cut-side down in a 250°F skillet for 1-2 minutes until golden.
On bottom halves, layer romaine, warm chicken, 4 cherry tomatoes, and 1 tbsp Parmesan. Top with croissant covers. Press gently.
Season with salt and pepper before serving.
Notes
Use halal-certified croissants and non-dairy Caesar dressing if preferred. Clarified butter prevents burning. Substitute arugula or spinach for romaine if desired.
