Description

These golden pastry rolls combine creamy chicken salad with sweet grapes, toasted almonds, and fresh herbs in flaky crescent dough. Perfect for holidays or spring events, this quick recipe uses pantry staples for a restaurant-worthy appetizer with crispy texture and balanced flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

1 can (5 oz) tender canned chicken, drained
2 celery stalks, finely chopped
1/2 cup seedless red grapes, quartered
1/4 cup toasted almonds, roughly chopped
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 sheet frozen crescent roll dough, thawed
1 tsp olive oil (optional for brushing)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
In a bowl, combine chicken, celery, grapes, almonds, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and parsley
Working with one crescent section at a time, spoon 1 tablespoon of filling onto each triangle
Fold dough to form a roll, pressing edges to seal
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush tops with olive oil
Bake for 18 minutes until golden and crisp
Cool slightly before serving

Notes

Assemble rolls up to 6 hours ahead, refrigerated
Substitute grapes with dried cranberries or apples if preferred
For extra crunch, sprinkle sugar over top 2 minutes before removing
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature up to 2 days
