Description
A vibrant summer lemonade blending wild huckleberries and citrus for a tart-sweet balance. Rich in antioxidants and refreshing texture.
Ingredients
Wild huckleberries (fresh or frozen)
1¼ cups cane sugar
7 cups water (2 boiling, 5 cold)
2 large organic lemons
Filtered water for juicing (1 quart)
Optional: maple syrup/honey
Instructions
Blend huckleberries with 2 cups water until smooth
Strain puree through fine mesh sieve
In small bowl, dissolve sugar in boiling water
Squeeze lemons into sieve, strain juice
Combine huckleberry puree, lemon juice, and sugar syrup
Add 3 cups cold water, stir
Adjust sweetness with more sugar or water
Chill and serve over ice with garnishes
Notes
Use frozen huckleberries if fresh unavailable
High-speed blender improves texture
Adjust sweetness gradually
Freeze leftover puree for future use
