Ingredients

Scale
  • 30 garlic scapes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Chili flakes to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 435°F (about 224°C).
  2. Rinse the scapes under cold water and pat them dry.
  3. Trim off the curly tips and cut the scapes into roughly three-inch pieces.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the scape pieces in a single layer.
  5. Drizzle the scapes with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and chili flakes.
  6. Roast in the preheated oven for 6–7 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven, allow to cool, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, ensure scapes are dry before roasting. If they are thick, consider slicing them lengthwise for even cooking.
