Description

A bold fusion of American-style burgers and Mexican-style wraps. Thin layers of seasoned, smashed beef atop warm tortillas with melted cheddar, zesty tangy sauce, and crispy texture. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal with bold flavor and satisfying crunch.

Ingredients

Scale

Ground Beef 1 pound (use lean for less oil; grass-fed adds depth)
Flour Tortillas 6 (soft, pliable, fresh or warmed)
Cheddar Cheese 1 cup shredded (sharp for flavor, mild for balance)
Seasoning (BBQ, taco seasoning, or garlic powder) to taste
Oil 2 tablespoons (canola, avocado, or olive oil; optional for non-stick surface)
Big Mac Sauce or Burger Sauce (Optional) 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1 tablespoon mustard, 2 tablespoons pickle relish

Instructions

Preheat a Blackstone griddle, cast iron skillet, or pan on medium-high heat
Divide ground beef into six equal portions. Place one portion on each flour tortilla and smash into a thin, even layer
Season beef to taste with chosen seasoning blend, covering the entire surface
Lightly grease the griddle/pan with oil
Place tortillas (beef-side down) and cook for 2 minutes until lightly browned
Flip each tortilla and immediately add cheddar cheese (1-3 minutes per side, depending on heat; optional: brush sauce on bottom)
Optional Big Mac Sauce: Mix 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1 tablespoon mustard, and 2 tablespoons relish. Store for serving
Assemble tacos with additional toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, etc.) if desired

Notes

For extra crispiness, warm tortillas in a dry skillet first
Use non-stick cookware to reduce oil if preferred
Substitute Big Mac sauce with standard burger sauce (ketchup + mustard + mayo) or omit
Add toppings like guacamole, salsa, or jalapeños for extra flavor
